2Dr. Scotti is currently working at the Department of Ophthalmology, Instituto Auxologico Italiano in Milan where he performs his clinic, surgery and research.

Dr. Scotti has worked for many years at the Scientific Institute San Raffaele Hospital and the eye center – Istituto Clinico Humanitas.

Graduated and specialized in ophthalmology at the Scientific Institute San Raffaele Hospital, Dr. Fabrizio Scotti has completed his education in America at the Harvard Medical School, attending the vitreo-retina Unit directed by Professor DJ D’Amico at the Eye Clinic of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

His major eye interests include:

  • General ophthalmology
  • Children ophthalmology
  • Retinal diseases: age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy , retinal vascular disease,…
  • Cataract surgery
  • Refractive surgery.

curriculumDr. Scotti  has participated as a speaker and instructor at national and international conferences and courses and he has published  many articles in leading scientific journals (click here).

He has participated as a principal investigator or co-investigator in many clinical trials and laboratory investigations.

In 2008 he won an international grant for a research entitled: “endothelial progenitor cells in age-related macular degeneration”. For the same search in 2012 won the “Third prize for Euretina poster competition” all ‘”Euretina Winter Meeting”.He recently won a grant for a study entitled: “Quantification of the number of circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and of vasostatin-1 (VS-1) in the plasma of patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) . Toward the prevention of the disease. ”

His private practice placed in Cernusco Sul NaviglioMilan and Bergamo.
