Eye visits schedule

  • at birth: to exclude congenital malformations or diseases
  • 1 year: for those children who have a family history of major eye diseases such as strabismus, high myopia, glaucoma, …
  • 3 years: to assess the correct morphological and functional development of the visual system.
  • 6-7 years
  • between 10 and 15 years old
  • 40 years

After the ophthalmologist, in each case, will determine the frequency of controls.


NOTE:  Whereas children have difficulty recognizing and identifying their visual problems, as they have no point of comparison, it is essential that the parent carefully observe the eyes of their child.
